Utah Black Bear Hunts

Utah offers some great spring and fall bear hunts that are mostly limited entry, ensuring quality.  Hunters will have a unique opportunity to pursue color-phased bears, in some of the state’s most scenic areas. Utah’s Black Bear hunting application usually opens in February with results available in early March.  If you have interest in hunting Utah

Our Utah bears are harvested with pursuit by hounds, bait hunts, as well as spot and stalk.

Conservation Permits 

Utah offers Conservation permits auctioned for Black Bear hunts each year. Permits are provided by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.  These tags are designed to raise money for multiple conservation groups, one such as 

Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife.  When you purchase these permits are 100% tax deductible through
501 C organizations.
